Research Interests

Primary research interests focus on applications involving magnetic fields at frequencies ranging from DC to several hundred MHz. Typical applications include: design and development of high efficiency, high power density magnetic components for telecommunications and computer power supplies; advanced systems to control molten metal fluid velocities in high throughput continuous casting systems; magnet design for MRI systems; contact resistance phenomena in low and high frequency electrical contacts; electromagnetic compatibility and electromagnetic interference phenomena. Additionally, research is conducted on neural network applications for nonlinear, high power systems and on modeling issues related to power electronic systems.
