IEEE APEC 2013 Best Presentation Award
Adrian Straka, (M.Sc.), received the best presentation award at the IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exhibition (APEC) the paper entitled:
“Noninvasive Self-Tuning Output Capacitor Time Constant Estimator For Low Power Digitally Controlled DC-DC Converters”

The award was given in a Component Level Modeling session.
IEEE COMPEL 2012 Best Paper Award
Damien Frost, M.Sc., received the best paper award at the IEEE Control and Modeling Power of Electronics 2012 held in Kyoto, Japan. The paper entitled:
“An advanced control method for cascaded SMPS to reduce the energy storage requirements,”
(co-authors P.W. Lehn and A. Prodić)
was selected among more than 100 papers presented at the conference.

2012 Inventor of the Year Award
Prof. Aleksandar Prodić received an Inventor of the Year Award from the University of Toronto in the area of Engineering and Physical Science.
